PRIMARY COORDINATOR

Welcome back to Term 2. Our autumn weather is gorgeous at the moment. Children are arriving at school rugged up in the morning but shedding jumpers by lunchtime. This means that we find lots of lost jackets in the yard which are not claimed by anyone as they are not labelled. Please make sure that your child’s clothing is clearly labelled and remind them to check the lost property bin kept near the staffroom if they have lost any items.

In the last 2 weeks, I have been visiting classes and finding some students still not in proper school uniform. Grey tracksuit pants are not to be worn by students in place of school trousers. Shoes should only be black. P.E uniform should only be worn on Mondays & Thursdays unless specified otherwise. Girls should be wearing white skivvies & white leggings only. The detailed school policy was sent in the last newsletter. Please refer to it if you are unsure of any requirements regarding uniform or feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

This school encourages healthy eating through classroom programs and initiatives such as the Vegetable Garden Program and Brain Food. Brain Food is a popular initiative from Foundation to Year 6 which encourages students to eat raw unprocessed fruit or vegetable at 10am every morning. Please remember to pack daily a piece of fruit or vegetable in your child’s lunch box.

Parents are encouraged to take some moments in the morning and evenings to guide and support children to develop the following fundamentals skills which are also a focus in their classrooms. Their success in these areas will see them flourish in life and also help create a positive environment at home & school.

Looking forward to a great term and your continuing support in your child’s education!!

Regards,
Mrs. Tarbinder Pandher
